Our WebHID Zero-Point Calibrator communicates directly with the internal microcontroller of your Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense (BDM-010 through BDM-040) or PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 over USB, reading raw 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) voltages and writing persistent center offset values into hardware memory.
Why Calibrating Replacement Hall-Effect Joysticks Is Essential
When soldering electromagnetic Hall-effect joystick modules (GuliKit, K-Silver, or Favor Union) into a controller PCB, the resting magnetic field rarely aligns perfectly with factory zero-points. Without hardware recalibration, the controller will report 5% to 15% resting drift even though the sensors are brand new.
