Optimizing Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Deadzones for Rocket League
Rocket League uses a 0–1 float deadzone scale, so the same percentage means different physical stick travel than other games. Set the deadzone just high enough to cover your stick's at-rest noise: too low and you get drift shows as slow car rotation at rest; even 0.03 deadzone gaps are noticeable to players. too high and your aim feels spongy.
The Pro Controller drifts less famously than Joy-Cons, but stick wear still shows as small center offsets in {game.name}'s menu when you set the deadzone below the stick's noise floor.
Connection mode matters
Wireless controllers report at the same deadzone values but can add input latency. For the most precise tuning, connect via USB first, verify your stick, then match the settings wirelessly.
