Fortnite and Apex Legends mechanics, before you convert

Fortnite applies mouse sensitivity through a single slider backed by an engine yaw of 0.005555 (at FOV 80) — and its aim-assist and bloom mean the raw sens number matters less than your cm/360° for tracking, so convert by distance, not by slider value.

Apex Legends runs on Source with a yaw of 0.022 and a wide FOV range, and its per-ADS sensitivity multiplier is decoupled from hipfire — converting hipfire only (as this tool does) preserves turn distance, then tune ADS separately for the 1x sight.

The Fortnite-to-Apex transfer is the friendliest of the four because both games accept your converted number with minimal re-tuning: Fortnite's high bloom keeps hipfire forgiving while Apex rewards the same turn distance for movement tech like tap-strafing. Start from your Fortnite cm/360°, divide by the ratio, and expect to adjust less than a quarter of the sensitivity you would move in a CS2-style transfer. The main friction point is FOV — Fortnite's build-mode camera runs tighter than Apex's slider max, so re-check your zoom-in feel after converting.

The Fortnite → Apex Legends yaw ratio

Fortnite uses a yaw value of 0.0056 (default FOV 80) while Apex Legends uses 0.0220 (default FOV 90). That is a 4.0x engine-level difference — direct numerical sensitivity numbers are non-transferable. The converter below divides your Fortnite value by this ratio (then adjusts for FOV) so your 360-degree turn distance stays identical.

What is cm/360° distance?

It is the physical distance (in centimeters or inches) your hand must move across the mousepad to rotate your in-game camera 360 degrees. Matching cm/360° distance ensures 1:1 muscle memory transfer — this is what the 4.0x multiplier above is designed to preserve.

Fortnite vs Apex Legends: which game needs more fine aim?

Fortnite's default FOV of 80 degrees and Apex Legends's 90 degrees change how the same cm/360° feels: lower FOV magnifies targets, higher FOV widens tracking arcs. After converting, spend 10 minutes in Apex Legends's aim range verifying micro-flicks, because muscle memory transfers by distance, not by pixels on screen.

Why does sensitivity differ between Fortnite and Apex Legends?

Different game engines use different Yaw multipliers (the angular degree change per mouse counts or analog stick tick). Fortnite at 0.0056 and Apex Legends at 0.0220 do not share a scale, which is why the 4.0x conversion factor exists.
