PS5 DualSense features lower input latency at approximately ~3.1 ms (~1000 Hz wired / ~250 Hz BT polling rate) compared to DualSense Edge at ~2.5 ms (~1000 Hz wired / ~250 Hz BT polling rate).
Both use potentiometer sticks, but the Edge is the only one of the two that lets you swap the stick module in seconds (no tools, no soldering) when drift develops — official modules retail around $19.99. The standard DualSense requires cleaning or aftermarket module kits. Neither uses Hall-effect sensors.
